Day 1 Hannibal, MO
We board our coach this morning for a charming adventure south. Spending the day getting acquainted with our fellow travelers as we make our way to Hannibal for our first overnight stay.

Day 2 Nashville, TN
Today we will notice the changing terrain as we pass through Illinois to Kentucky and finally, Nashville, “Music City USA!” Upon arrival, we will check into our accommodations, have some dinner then attend the famous Grand Ole Opry, the show that made Country Music famous! (B)

Day 3 Morrow, GA
This morning we visit the Lynchburg, Tennessee and tour the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, the oldest registered distillery in the US. We’ll learn the story of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey and probably an interesting story or two about Mr. Jack as well. Lunch is included at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House Restaurant. With over 100 years of operation, you'll enjoy the down-home cooking just like Mr. Jack did a century ago. We'll continue south to Marietta, Georgia and stop at the Gone with the Wind Museum. The rustle of petticoats, the smell of gunpowder, cotton fields and plantations. Step back in time with the sights and sounds of Atlanta during the Civil War and Reconstruction as told through the eyes of Scarlett O’Hara and her dashing romancer, Rhett Butler. From there, we'll travel as far as Morrow, just outside of Atlanta. (B, L)

Day 4 Savannah, GA
Trekking farther south, we'll arrive in Savannah, "the Belle of Georgia." Upon arrival, we will board the Georgia Queen for a Sunday Brunch Cruise. Enjoy a traditional southern brunch while listening to informational and entertaining tales and facts from the Captain as we tour a river once traveled by the founders of the city. We will learn the history of the city, as well as facts about the port, past, and modern day. Take in panoramic views of the river and nearby landmarks including the Port and historic Fort Jackson. Day 5 Savannah, GA
Today we will travel south out of Savannah to Jekyll Island, the southernmost island of the Golden Isles. We’ll board a tram for a tour to experience of the rich culture and history of the Island. Next, we’ll head out on a Shrimping Excursion in the calm waters of Georgia’s coast. Learn all about shrimp, crabs and other creatures that call these waters their home. We’ll head back to Savannah for an evening on your own to explore in the historic district. (B, D)

Day 6 Charleston, SC
We’ll travel to Savannah, Georgia this morning. Upon arrival we’ll pick up our local guide for a tour of Savannah. Discover the cobblestone streets, magnolia trees draped in Spanish moss, more exquisite antebellum homes and churches, historic sites and Savannah’s southern charm. We will cross into South Carolina and make our way toward Charleston. We'll visit the Charleston Tea Garden located on historic Wadmalaw Island in the heart of the Lowcountry of South Carolina. While here we will tour America's only Tea Factory and learn how tea is made. Then we'll board a trolley to see the many acres of tea bushes. An included boxed lunch will be here. Next, we'll arrive in Charleston. There is no better way to see this grand city than on a horse and carriage sightseeing tour. Clippity-clop your way back to Colonial times experiencing over 300 years of history, including antebellum mansions, churches, and gardens. (B, L)

Day 7 Myrtle Beach, SC
As we depart Charleston this morning, we will stop at one of America’s oldest working plantations that has continually grown crops for the last 320 years, Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens. We tour the antebellum mansion and learn about the history of the Plantation and it's evolution through several owners since 1681. Then we’ll see nine of the original slave cabins, each presenting different themes in telling the black history story here. After lunch on your own en route, we'll arrive in Myrtle Beach. Our afternoon will be spent at the Beautiful Brookgreen Gardens. We will check-in to our hotel located on the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. (B)

Day 8 Myrtle Beach, SC
The day is at your leisure to enjoy our hotel, and the beach. We will offer a optional trip to Broadway at the Beach. Tonight, dinner is included at The Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood Restaurant before attending the fabulous Carolina Opry. (B, D)

Day 9 Asheville, NC
We leave the coastal waters and head inland this morning. We will cross into North Carolina to Asheville and visit the Biltmore Estate. Overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, this Chateauesque-style mansion was created by George Vanderbilt in 1895. You will see magnificent 16th century tapestries, a library with 10,000 volumes, a banquet hall with a 70-foot ceiling, 65 fireplaces, and indoor pool and a bowling alley. We'll overnight in Asheville this evening.

Day 10 Cincinnati, OH
We continue our travels north again, traveling through "the Bluegrass State," Kentucky. We'll arrive in Cincinnati, Ohio to visit the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center for the rest of the day. (B)

Day 11 Rockford, IL
Our tour is soon coming to an end as we drive to through Indiana today. A stop will be made at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. Then we continuing into Illinois to our overnight destination in Rockford. We'll have an included farewell dinner at the Machine Shed this evening. (B, D)

Day 12 Home
With new friendships formed and a suitcase full of memories, we will arrive back home today.
