sandstone rock formations of Garden of
the Gods with the snow-capped Pikes
Peak in the background. A naturalist will
board our coach to give us a tour of the
park. We’ll spend some time at the visitor
center here before heading into Manitou
Springs for some free time to shop and
have lunch on your own. The rest of our
day will be spent at the brand new US
Olympic & Paralympic Museum. See the
entire journey of the games from birth in
ancient Olympia to the current team USA
hopefuls that live and train in Colorado
Springs every day. Tonight, we’ll enjoy an
included dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4 Alamosa, CO
We travel to Canon City to ride the Royal
Gorge Railroad. This train takes us along
the tumbling waters of the legendary
Arkansas River deep within the granite
cliffs of the Royal Gorge. Then we visit
the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park and all
of its attractions. Marvel at awe-inspiring
panoramic views from one of the world’s
highest suspension bridges, hanging
956 feet above the Arkansas River! While
here walk on the bridge, check out the
visitor center, ride the world’s longest
single-span aerial gondola or just enjoy
the view. Afterwards, we’ll continue to
Alamosa for our overnight. (B, L)

Day 5 Farmington, NM
Hidden away in a little-known corner
of the southern Rocky Mountains is a
precious historic artifact of the American
West known as the Cumbres and Toltec
Scenic Railroad. We ride the train from
Antonito to Chama and enjoy an included
lunch in Osier en-route. Upon our arrival
to Chama, we will board our coach to
travel to our overnight destination of
Farmington, NM. (B, L)

Day 6 Durango, CO
Our first stop today is at Four Corners
Monument, the only place in the United
States where four states (Arizona, New
Mexico, Utah, and Colorado) come
together at one place. Then we continue
to the Canyons of the Ancient Visitor
Center to learn about the Ancestral
Puebloan Culture and other Native
cultures in the Four Corners region.
Lunch is on your own on the way to Mesa
Verde National Park where we’ll drive
the scenic Mesa loop road. Our drive will

Relive the sights and sounds of yesteryear
as we enjoy a spectacular journey on
board the Durango & Silverton Narrow
Gauge Railroad. This historic coal train
has been in continuous operation for 127
years, carrying passengers behind vintage
steam locomotives. We travel one-way
to Silverton, where we will disembark
the train and enjoy some free time to
have lunch on your own and explore this
former mining town. Then we will drive
the Million Dollar Highway, known for
it’s steep cliffs, narrow lanes and hairpin
curves. Next, we’ll see Black Canyon of the
Gunnison, named after the fact that parts
of the gorge only receive approximately
30 minutes of sunlight a day. We’ll arrive
in Montrose, Colorado for our overnight
stay. Tonight we enjoy a BBQ Dinner at
our hotel. (B, D)
