Day 1 Topeka, KS
We board our deluxe motorcoach this morning to begin our journey to Colorado and the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta! We spend the day getting acquainted with our fellow travelers as we make our way to Topeka, KS for our overnight.

Day 2 Dodge City, KS
Today we’ll travel into Kansas to Dodge City, know as “Queen of the Cattle Towns” because it was the destination for Texas longhorn and the cattle trade. We will visit the Boot Hill Museum and be transported back to an exciting and interesting time during the era of dusty streets of the 1870’s and 1880’s. Historical exhibits illustrate the life and times of early Dodge City and its unique characters and thriving economy. There will be time to stroll historic Front Street and shop in the gift shop. Afterwards, we’ll check-in to our accommodations before returning for the evening Gun Fight. It seems that the boys with that Texas herd south of town are causing some trouble. It’s an awesome re- enactment of a gunfight that will stop you dead in your tracks! Pun intended. Tonight, enjoy a country style dinner and the Long Branch Saloon Variety Show! (B, D)

Day 3 Colorado Springs, CO
We skirt across Kansas into Colorado today to our overnight destination of Colorado Springs to visit the beautiful Garden of the Gods. A naturalist will board our coach and give us a tour of the Park. View 300’ towering sandstone rock formations against the snow-capped Pikes Peak and brilliant blue skies. (B)

Day 4 Santa Fe, NM
Our morning begins aboard Pikes Peak Railway. We’ll take a nine-mile journey up 14,115 feet for sweeping 360-degree views of the Pikes Peak region, from the far eastern plains to the Continental Divide along the snow-capped Rocky Mountains to the west. On a clear day, you may even see the historic mining camp of Cripple Creek and the skyscrapers of downtown Denver. We'll continue to Santa Fe, New Mexico for our overnight. (B)

Day 5 Albuquerque, NM
Our morning begins a tour of this capital city. A local guide will show us all Santa Fe has to offer including St. Francis Cathedral & Loretto Chapel *if available*. Santa Fe is known as the City Different and within one visit, you will know why. The city embodies a rich history, melding Hispanic, Anglo and Native American cultures whose influences are apparent in everything from the architecture, the food, the art and on. Later, we’ll travel to authentic Albuquerque. The Sandia Mountains run along the eastern side of Albuquerque, and the Rio Grande flows right through it. We’ll learn about this fascinating city by a local guide too. He or she will share the sights, sounds, history, humor, legends, magic, and fascinating facts of America’s oldest and most colorful city. (B)

Day 6 Albuquerque, NM
Today we will attend the world’s premier balloon event, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta with an included Chasers’ Club ticket upgrade. This ticket gives you guaranteed seating in private outdoor patio located next to the launch field. This morning we’ll attend the Mass Ascension where hundreds of balloons will be taking flight from the Balloon Fiesta Park. You will be awestruck by the spectacular beauty of hot air balloons filling the big blue New Mexico sky. Imagine 54 football fields all put together, that is the size of the Balloon Fiesta Park’s launch field. The whole park is the “playing field.” Balloons launch in two waves and the launch directors, also known as zebras because of their black-and-white-striped outfits, serve as traffic cops, coordinating the launch so balloons leave the field in a safe and coordinated manner. The Mass Ascension is led by a balloon flying the American flag to the strains of The Star Spangled Banner. After this awe-inspiring show we’ll head over to the Albuquerque Museum. Discover some of the most remarkable artifacts and works of art from the region, and the world. Tonight, we’ll head to historic Old Town, the heart of Albuquerque since the city was founded in 1706. Today, Old Town Albuquerque is the city’s cultural center, with five museums and more than 100 shops, galleries and restaurants. Then, we’ll attend Evening Balloon Glow, invented in Albuquerque in 1979, when local pilots inflated balloons on Christmas Eve night as a thank you to local residents. The sight of balloons lit from within at night like giant holiday ornaments is breathtaking. (B, D)

Day 7 Durango, CO
Today we make a stop at the Four Corners Monument, the only place in the United States where four states (Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado) come together at one place. Here you can stand in four states at the same time. Then we continue to the Anasazi Heritage Center to learn about the Ancestral Puebloan Culture and other Native cultures in the Four Corners region. Our overnight is in Durango this evening. (B)

Day 8 Grand Junction, CO
Relive the sights and sounds of yesteryear as we enjoy a spectacular journey on board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. This historic train has been in continuous operation for 127 years, carrying passengers behind vintage steam locomotives. We travel one way to Silverton. After lunch on your own, here we drive the Million Dollar Highway to Ouray, CO. Here we will enjoy some time in the town surrounded by 14,000-foot mountain peaks before traveling to our final destination for the day in Grand Junction, CO. (B)

Day 9 Denver, CO
This morning visit Colorado National Monument, one of the greatest landscapes in the American West! Be amazed by sheer-walled, red rock canyons along the twists and turns of Rim Rock Drive, where you may see bighorn sheep, soaring eagles and other wildlife. Afterwards, we’ll continue our travels to tonights destination, Denver! Lunch is included today along the way. (B, L)

Day 10 Rapid City, SD
Continuing towards home today, we’ll drive north through Wyoming and into South Dakota making a stop at Mount Rushmore. We’ll overnight in Rapid City, SD tonight. (B)
