Day 1 Topeka, KS
We board our coach to begin our
adventure to the National Parks of the
Southwest. We will spend the day getting
acquainted with our fellow passengers as
we make our usual stops along the way
to our overnight destination of Topeka,
KS.

Day 2 Colorado Springs, CO
Our travels continue today as we travel
across Kansas and into Colorado for our
overnight in Colorado Springs. (B)

Day 3 Durango, CO
Today we travel through the Rocky
Mountains and into the Black Canyon
of the Gunnison National Park where
you will be exposed to some of the
steepest cliffs and oldest rocks in North
America. We’ll stop for lunch on your
own before we travel along the winding
Million Dollar Highway, one of the most
scenic drives in the USA. We will arrive in
Durango for our evening stay. (B)

Day 4 Grand Canyon Village, AZ
Our first stop this morning is at Mesa
Verde National Park Visitor Center, then
we’ll drive through the park. We’ll look
into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo
people who lived here for 700 years.
After lunch on your own, we’ll continue to
Four Corners Monument, the only place
in the United States where four states
intersect at one point. We’ll continue to
our overnight in Grand Canyon Village.
(B)

Day 5 Page, UT
Today we will enter Grand Canyon
National Park and pick up a local guide
who will tell us the history of the park
and give us many opportunities to get
some photos of it’s steep-sided canyon.
After lunch, we’ll head out to the Carl
Hayden Visitor Center at Glen Canyon
Dam, a 710-foot high dam that forms
Lake Powell, one of the largest manmade
reservoirs in the U.S. Then we will
continue to our hotel, located right on
Lake Powell. Upon arrival, we’ll board a
boat for tour of Antelope Canyon. Get
an up-close opportunity to view the
narrow, colorful, and sculpted geology
of the lower end of Lake Powell. Thishigh-walled Navajo Sandstone side-arm
of Lake Powell is famous not only for its
coloration, but also for its famous slot
canyons. Afterwards, check into your
rooms and freshen up for our included
dinner at our resort. (B, D)

Day 6 Bryce, UT
This morning is yours to enjoy some free
time at the resort before for departing for
Zion National Park. We’ll travel through
the Zion-Mount Caramel tunnel as we
travel along the park road. Rangers are
posted at both ends of the tunnel and
convert it to a one-way tunnel for us to
pass safely. On the other side, we’ll see
the beautiful Zion Canyon and its massive
cliff walls. Lunch is included in the park
at the Zion Lodge. Afterwards, we’ll head
north for our overnight, stopping at the
Bryce Canyon Visitor Center along the
way if time allows. After we check into our
accommodations in Bryce, we’ll feast on
an included dinner at our hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 7 Moab, UT
This morning our travels continue as we
drive the beautiful Bryce Canyon, the
forest of stone. It is home to the largest
collection of hoodoos in the world. After
lunch on your own, we’ll travel along
the Fremont River through Capitol Reef
National Park. Tonight, we will be treated
to a cowboy-style Dutch oven dinner in
a dining room overlooking the Colorado
River. After dinner, board a boat to cruise
the river for an old fashioned Sound &
Light Cruise with a knowledgeable and
entertaining guide. Once darkness settles
in, 40,000 watts of natural light illuminate
the canyon wall. Lights, shadows, music,
and narration make the stories of the
canyon’s formation, creation, and history
come to life on the walls above the river.
We’ll return to our hotel in Moab for the
rest of the evening. (B, D)

Day 8 Glenwood Springs, CO
Moab neighbors the next park that we
will visit, Arches National Park. This red
rock wonderland will amaze you with it’s
2,000 natural stone arches. We’ll travel
into Colorado this afternoon to visit the
Colorado National Monument. This is
always a favorite of many passengers who
have traveled with Riley’s. Be amazed by
sheer-walled, red rock canyons along the
twists and turns of Rim Rock Drive, where
you may see bighorn sheep and soaring
eagles. We’ll head north to Glenwood
Springs, CO to our hotel for the evening.
(B)

Day 9 Greeley, CO
Feel like your on top of the world as we
travel Rocky Mountain National Park.
We’ll make several stops throughout
the park for photos. Tonight’s stay is in
Greeley, CO. (B)

Day 10 York, NE
After our continental breakfast this
morning, we make our way east into
Nebraska. We make a stop in Kearney to
spend some time at the Great Platte River
Road Archway, an interactive adventure
that pays tribute to the pioneers who
passed through Nebraska on their way
west. After, we’ll gather for an included
dinner at a local restaurant in town
before continuing to our overnight in
York, NE. (B, D)

Day 11 Home
