Day 1 Duluth, MN
Our fall foliage adventure begins today as we make our way north up to Duluth. Upon arrival to Duluth, we'll board the North Shore Scenic Railroad's Duluth Zephyr through downtown, along the shoreline of Lake Superior, through the historic Congdon Neighborhood wooded area, until it reaches a siding where we stop briefly to turn around and return to the Depot. Afterwards, we will head over to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum and see it’s impressive collection of historic railroad equipment that built Minnesota and our country. The museum is located in downtown Duluth, in the platforms at yard of the original Historic Union Depot, built in 1892. Next, we check into our hotel located in Canal Park. Enjoy lakeside rooms with a balcony to enjoy the best views during your stay! This evening we'll dine in style aboard the Vista Star while cruising the Duluth harbor. (D)

Day 2 Duluth, MN
We’ll board the bus this morning and make our way to Gooseberry Falls, enjoying the scenery along the way of course. Here you’ll have plenty of time to take in the fall colors from it’s many view points. Next, we will head to the Lutsen area to ride the Summit Express Gondola 1,000 feet over Lake Superior to the top of Moose Mountain. You won’t find a better vantage point from which to view the Sawtooth Mountains and Lake Superior’s dramatic coastline. After an included lunch, we’ll continue along the North Shore to Grand Marais where you’ll have some time to explore this unique town. Explore the cool little shops, grab a treat or some coffee, walk along the harbor and take in the feel of this small little resort town! We will make our way back to Duluth but not before making a stop at Split Rock Lighthouse. We will arrive back in Duluth and the rest of the evening is on your own to enjoy Canal Park and our hotel. Canal Park has so much to offer and explore. Be sure to take a stroll along the iconic Duluth Lakeshore Boardwalk, check out the shops and restaurants located here or just sit out on your balcony and watch the ships come and go. In the evenings, our hotel has a bonfire where you can roast s'mores! (B, L)

Day 3 Home
Our morning will begin with a visit to the Glensheen Mansion for a tour. The mansion is perched on the shore of Lake Superior, is the most visited historic home in Minnesota. Our 12-acre estate features gardens, bridges, and the famous 39-room mansion built with remarkable 20th-century craftsmanship, telling the story of the Duluth region. We’ll depart Duluth and make our way back home making a stop for an included lunch along the way. (B, L)
