Day 1 Sturgeon Bay, WI
This morning we begin our journey to the “Cape Cod of the Midwest.” Door County has more miles of shoreline, lighthouses and state parks than any other county in the United States. Day 2 Sturgeon Bay, WI
This morning we’ll be joined by a local guide who will show us the sights of Door County. We’ll board a the Washington Island ferry and ride through “Death’s Door” with views of Pilot Island and Plum Island Lights while learning about how Door County got it’s name from this famous passageway. Upon arrival to the island, we'll tour the Stave Church, School House Beach, the Commercial Fishing Museum and a Farm Museum. We’ll have an included lunch here on the Island and spend some time at the Midwest's largest Lavender Farm, Fragrant Isles Lavender Farm and Shop. Stroll through the sea of violet, shop the largest selection of lavender products in Door County and be sure to grab one of their famous macaroons from the cafe! Once we're back on the mainland, we visit Seaquist Orchard & market and learn about apples and cherries grown here. There will be time to explore the market and do some shopping of course! Check out the antique tractors and sample some fudge! After a fun day of touring, we’ll return to our hotel for a tradition you can’t miss, an authentic Door County Fish Boil. (B, L, D)

After lunch, explore Sister Bay and it's many shops and boutiques or walk the marina and Village Park if you are not a shopper. We continue our tour heading to Peninsula State Park on the Niagara Escarpment providing grand water view overlooking the Bay of Green Bay. We'll also visit and authentic Pioneer Cemetery and hear about some of the county's early inhabitants. Next stop, the Lautenbach Orchard Country Winery & Farm Market to do some wine tasting. We'll enjoy an included dinner this evening at a local restaurant and stop at Cave Point County Park, seeing the beautiful rocky shore with wave cut caves as we make our way back to hotel this evening.
