Day 4 American Queen Steamboat
Our cruise brings us to St. Francisville, Louisiana this morning. Established in 1809, it is the oldest town in the Florida Parishes of Louisiana. Near where St. Francisville is located currently, there was a settlement called Bayou Sara in the 1790s. When this settlement was destroyed by flooding and fires, many of the structures and artifacts were hauled up the bluff into St. Francisville, where they stand today. The town is referred to as “two miles long and two yards wide,” but that definitely doesn’t mean it has nothing to offer. Stop in at one of the unique shops, historical homes, beautiful churches or breathtaking parks and you will surely agree! There is an included shore excursion today, the Hop-On Hop-Off Tour which will give you a tour while being able to "Hop-on and off" to explore as you go! We are only here until just after lunch. The rest of the day is spent cruising along the Mississippi taking in the signs and sounds of River life. (B, L, D)
Premium Shore Excursions: Redemption & Rehabiliation at Angola Prison

Day 5 American Queen Steamboat
Today's port is Natchez, Mississippi. This charming river town was first inhabited by Natchez Indians and French explorers who shared the land. It was founded in 1716, making it the oldest city on the Mississippi River. Natchez is known for its elegance, hospitality and impressive preservation of history, which can be found on every street corner throughout the town. Guests will enjoy the unique shops, restaurants, museums and antebellum houses as they explore the beautiful downtown areas. There is an included shore excursion today, the Hop-On Hop-Off Tour which will give you a tour while being able to "Hop-on and off" to explore as you go! (B, L, D)
Premium Shore Excursions: The Great Mississippi Outdoor Adventure, ATVs & Outdoor Sports at Double C Ranch, The Story of Cotton in the American South, Home Hosted Visit with Ginger & James

You can read more about the native authors and their history at the Greenville Writer’s Exhibit at the William Alexander Percy Library. Other attractions include the Winterville Mounds, Greenville History, Old Fire Department, Highway 61 Blues, Jim Henson-Kermit the Frog, Hebrew Union’s Century of History, Greenville Air Force Base, and Flood of 1927 museums – not to mention the country’s oldest fully restored and operational Armitage-Herschell Carousel housed in the E. E. Bass Cultural Center. (B, L, D)
