Day 1 Escanaba, MI
This morning we begin our journey to the “all-natural” Mackinac Island. We will travel through Wisconsin and cross into Michigan to our overnight stay in Escanaba, MI. Tonight, we’ll have a pizza party at our hotel. (D)

Day 2 Mackinac Island, MI
Enjoy an included breakfast at our hotel before we depart.  This mornings route will take us along scenic Lake Michigan. Our first stop will be Kitch-Iti-Kipi Spring in Palm Book State Park. This is a deep spring with blueish colored water. You may get on a raft and ride out to watch the fish and see the depth of the water. Next, we will head to Mackinac City, but first we will have to cross over the “Mighty Mac” bridge. The bridge connects upper Michigan with lower Michigan and is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. Once in Mackinac City, we will give you some free time to explore and do some shopping at Mackinaw Crossings. Have lunch on your own while here.  This afternoon, we will board Shepler’s Ferry to Mackinac Island, which sits in Lake Huron. This is the only place in the United States where motorized transportation is not allowed with the exception of a fire truck. We’ll check into the fabulous Grand Hotel. We will do a "Behind the Scenes Tour" of the hotel and learn what it takes to make the Grand Hotel truly Grand! The rest of the day will be on your own before we attend dinner this evening in the Grand Hotel Dining Room featuring a new menu each evening. (B, D)

Day 3 Mackinac Island, MI
Breakfast at our hotel is ordered straight off the menu and there is plenty to pick from!  The morning is free to sit it out on the famous porch and take in a view of Lake Huron, shop Main Street, rent a bike to ride around the island or just relax in your colorful hotel room.  Lunch is included at the Grand Hotel's famous lunch buffet. Enjoy a bountiful feast featuring garden-fresh salads, savory cheese, low-roasted meats, seafood and more than 20 varieties of fresh-baked pastries. This afternoon we will take in a narrated horse-drawn carriage tour of the Island making many stops throughout the Island’s interior and includes Surrey Hills and Arch Rock. We will disembark our carriages at the historic Fort Mackinac, the oldest building in Michigan. We will learn about everything from military training and battles to medical treatments to family life within the fort. The Fort was more than just a military outpost, it served as a home for soldiers and their families too. This evening, dinner is included again this evening at our hotel in the main dining room again. (B, L, D)

Day 4 Ludington, MI
Today we will board a ferry back to the mainland and travel south through the Upper Peninsula, making our way to Ludington, making a stop at the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum before checking into our hotel for the evening. (B)

Day 5 Home
This morning we’ll board the SS Badger to ferry to Manitowoc, WI across Lake Michigan. We travel back across Wisconsin and into Minnesota to our homes. (B)
