Day 1 Kansas City, MO

As Christmas quickly approaches, we are excited to be celebrating the season with a fun trip filled with music, laughter and fun in Branson! We will spend this first day getting acquainted with our fellow travelers as we travel to our overnight destination of Kansas City, MO.

Day 2 Branson, MO

We will depart our hotel this morning and make a stop for lunch on your own along the way. Upon arrival, we will attend Christmas Wonderland. No yuletide trip to Branson would be complete without seeing this show, one of the largest holiday productions in town. A sparkling cast of singers and dancers takes you on an unforgettable and magical sleigh ride to a grand Christmas extravaganza. We will then check-in to our hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is included before our evening Show, David at the Sight & Sound Theater. From still waters to shadowed valleys, David’s ascent to the throne is filled with towering giants, wild animals, and Philistine soldiers. After unprecedented victories lead to devastating failures, this passionate warrior will face the biggest battle of all: the one within himself. Come alongside this young shepherd on his journey to become a man after God’s own heart. Day 3 Branson, MO

Our morning begins at the Sanders Family Christmas. It’s Christmas Eve in 1941. The Depression is coming to a close, but 18 days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the threat of war has just begun. Our SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN family has returned, about to say a bittersweet goodbye to their only son, who is shipping out with the Marine Corps. But before he goes, the Sanders Family Singers are heading up the annual Christmas celebration at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Reverend Mervin Oglethorpe (who works part-time at the local pickle plant) and the Sanders family attempt to raise the spirits of their faithful flock (the audience!) in a rousing, hilarious and heart-warming Christmas gospel sing-along of cherished holiday hymns and carols. There’s Uncle Stanley; the family’s patriarch, Burl and his Scripture-quoting wife Vera; the twins Dennis and Denise and their sister June (she doesn’t sing, she signs). After lunch on your own, we attend Daniel O’Donnell Live, the world-renowned successful and beloved country entertainer from Ireland. Enjoy many Christmas songs and countless other festive songs from across the decades. Tonight, dinner is included at one of our favorites here in Branson. Enjoy one more show to top off our day in Branson, C.J. Newsom’s Classic Country & Comedy Christmas Show at the Americana Theatre. Enjoy classic Christmas from the soulful voice of CJ Newsom and her accompanying bandmates along with the laughs from the best comedians in Branson. We end our evening with a drive through the Branson Christmas Lights Display. (B, D)

Day 4 Kansas City, MO

Today we will make our way to Kansas City, Missouri. Upon arrival, we’ll visit Arabia Steamboat Museum, a time capsule of life on the American frontier in the mid-nineteenth century and is the largest single collection of pre-Civil War artifacts in the world. (B)
