Trip Itinerary


Day 1  Minneapolis, MN
Aloha!  We will make our way to Minneapolis for our overnight stay near the airport.  We'll enjoy an included Welcome Dinner this evening to get acquainted with your fellow travelers.  Then get some rest for our morning flight. (D)

Day 2  Oahu
We will board our motorcoach and be transported to MSP Airport to fly to Honolulu on the island of Hawaiian Island of Oahu.  After our official lei greeting at the airport, we’ll be transferred by bus to our hotel, the Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger located on the Kalakaua Avenue.  This hotel is in a premier location with shops and restaurants and right across from the famous Waikiki Beach!

Day 3  Oahu
We begin our morning learning about one of the most pivotal moments in US history at Pearl Harbor National Memorial.  We’ll watch a short video about the bombing of Pearl Harbor that killed over 2,000 at the Visitor Center before our journey to the U.S.S Arizona where 1,102 men died.  Next, we’ll board our motorcoach and do a city tour through Honolulu seeing sights such as ‘lolani Place, downtown Kawai’ahao Church, King Kamehameha Statue, Honolulu Hale, Punchbowl Cemetery and more!  The rest of the day is on your own to explore, go to the beach or just relax by the pool.  (B) *Please note, Pearl Harbor boat tour to the USS Arizona is based upon availability. The tour is controlled by the National Park Service and will not grant tickets until 1 week prior to the tour and only allows so many people per day to visit. (B)

Day 4  Oahu
We set out on an adventure this morning.  First stop, the Dole Plantation.  Here we’ll do a train tour for two miles of pineapple fun. We’ll learn the story of the pineapple in Hawaii and hear how Dole came to be the world famous agricultural empire it is today. From there we’ll see the sugar cane and pineapple fields as we make our way to the sparkling North Shore of the island, passing by popular surfing beaches in hopes to spot surfers riding a waves.  Our afternoon will be spent at the Polynesian Cultural Center, aka “the PCC.”  Here you will have the whole afternoon to explore authentic villages and mingle with natives from six Pacific Islands cultures as they demonstrate their arts crafts and traditions.  This evening, dinner is served at the all-you-can-eat Ali’i Luau Buffet while enjoying an island extravaganza of song, dance and celebration.  After our meal, attend the Ha: Breath of Life Show which includes a symbolic story of Mana and his beloved Lani, Polynesian dance, music, blazing fireknives and more!  (B, D)

Day 5  Kauai
A short early morning flight brings us to Kauai, known as the “Garden Isle.”  A motorcoach will be awaiting our arrival to take us to Smith’s Tropical Gardens for a tram  tour through lush tropical plants, lagoons and fruit orchards where animals like the peacock call home.  Then board a boat for a cruise along the Wailua River and make our way to the Fern Grotto, a geological wonder where ferns grow upside down from the roof of the grotto, which was formed millions of years ago. Native Hawaiian plants and colorful exotic tropical plants provide a rain-forest atmosphere. We check-in to our accommodations at the Sheraton Kauai Resort. This evening, we attend a Polynesian Luau.  Experience authentic Hawaii food, hula and fire dancing, music and more!  It’s something you’ll never forget!  (D)

Day 6  Kauai
Today is a free day to enjoy at our fabulous resort.  (B)

Day 7  Kauai  
We’ll spend most of our morning and afternoon touring Kauai. Sights include Waimea Canyon, Spouting Horn Blowhole, Hanapepe town, Hanapepe Valley and the famous Hanapepe Swinging Bridge, Koke’e State Park, Pu’u Hinahina Lookout, King Kaumuali‘i Statue at Pa‘ula‘ula. We’ll end our tour at the Kauai Coffee Plantation where we will see the entire coffee process from initial blossoming and harvesting to the final roasting. Sample the exclusive line of estate‐grown Hawaiian coffees while relaxing beneath the warm Hawaiian sun. Lunch is included along the way. We will return to our hotel and the rest of the afternoon and evening is on your own.  (B, L)

Day 8  Hawaii  
We’re island hopping again....this time to the Big Island!  Upon arrival, a motorcoach will be waiting for us to take us on a tour of Volcano National Park.  Highlights include a view of Mauna Loa Volcano, Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, Halema’uma’u Crater, Kilauea Visitor Center, Steam Vents and more!  Afterwards, arrive at our hotel, the Royal Kona Resort. 

Day 9  Maui  
A quick flight this morning takes us Maui, the second largest island.  Our waiting motorcoach will transport us to the docks to board a boat for a Whale Watching Cruise.  We’ll get the chance to see humpback whales while learning about their behaviors and characteristics from an onboard naturalist.  Later, we check-in to the Sheraton Maui Resort. Day 10  Maui  
We begin our morning with a continental breakfast before our full day of touring the Road to Hana.  The tour features 620 curves and 59 single-lane bridges as we travel through picturesque towns like Pa’ia Town, the windsurfing capital of the world.  We’ll be surrounded with dense forest, rugged coastlines and see breathtaking waterfalls.  Lunch is include along the way. Some of the highlights on this tour include Kaumahina State Park, Upper Waikani Falls, Ke’anae Peninsula, Black Sand Beach, Hana Bay, South Wailua Falls, Hana Farms, Upcountry Maui & much more!  (CB, L)

Day 11  Maui  
Today is completely at your leisure to enjoy our resort, explore the island, shop or just relax!  Our hotel has many activities available for guest to enjoy.  (B)

Day 12  Flight Home  
Today we will check-out of our hotel after lunch and drive to the Maui Tropical Plantation this afternoon for a tour aboard the Tropical Express to get a closer look at the plantation seeing fields of pineapple, coconut, mango, banana, coffee, taro and more! Before the tour is over, we will receive a coconut husking demonstration. This evening we say goodbye to the Hawaiian Islands as we board our overnight flight back to Minnesota.  (B)

Day 13  Home  
We will arrive in Minneapolis this morning and a Riley motorcoach will be waiting to bring us to our original departure points.
