Day 1 Overnight Flight to Bergen
A Riley motorcoach will transfer us to MSP Airport where we will board an overnight flight to Bergen, Norway.

Day 2 Bergen, Norway
Arrive at Bergen Flesland Airport this morning and transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to adjust to the time change. Our hotel is located in Brygge which is a World Heritage Site and is one of Bergen’s and Norway’s main attractions. The area is known for its colorful, wooden-clad boat houses and variety of shops and restaurants located here. We’ll gather for a welcome dinner this evening. (D)

Day 3 Bergen, Norway
This morning we will meet our guide for a 2 hour walking tour of the city which is known as “the Capital of the Fjords.” Our guide will show us why many consider Bergen the most beautiful city in Norway with this guided walking tour. Explore charming wooden streets and historic sights like St. Mary’s Church; Vågen harbor; and the Bryggen quarter, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rest of the day is on your own to visit a museum, do some shopping or just relax at the hotel. (B)

Day 4 Voss, Norway
Our morning begins with the Norway in a Nutshell Experience. We begin by driving to Voss, tucked in the mountains of west Norway. Here we will board the famous Oslo/Bergen Railway. The train meanders through lush valleys, offering passengers sweeping views of majestic fjords and rugged mountains. Then we’ll change to the renowned Flåm Railway, known to be one of the steepest railways in the world because it descends 2800 feet within 13 miles. Here, we board a boat for a cruise through the peaceful and picturesque Aurlandfjord then the narrow Nærøyfjord. We overnight in Voss and check-in to our hotel. Dinner is included this evening. Day 5 Oslo, Norway
We trek through Norway today and head to Oslo. Along the way we’ll cross the Hardangerfjord on one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. We’ll make a stop to view the vast quantities of water plunging into the canyon below from Vøringfossen and then proceed across the wild and barren Hardanger Plateau. A visit the one of Norway’s oldest stave churches at Torpo is a must before continuing through the valley of Hallingdal to Oslo, the oldest of the Scandinavia capitals with a history dating back 1,000 years.. Upon arrival, we check-in to our elegant hotel located right in the heart of Oslo, on the parade street by Karl Johans Gate. This popular avenue stretches from the Oslo Central Station on the western end to the Royal Palace on eastern end. There are many things to explore including numerous shops, street musicians, young artists promoting their craft, the parliament building, a nice park with fountains and ponds and much more! (B)

Day 6 Oslo, Norway
We’ll begin our day with a sightseeing tour which includes a walk through the famous Vigeland Sculptures located in Frogner Park. We’ll learn about the history and architecture that makes this Scandinavia city stand out. The rest of the day is on your own explore the city or visit one of the many museums or landmarks located in Oslo. This is also a great time to just enjoy our luxurious hotel. (B)

Day 7 Tällberg, Sweden
This morning we’ll cross the border into Sweden and travel to Nusnäs to tour the center for the production of the traditional Dala wooden horses, the symbol of Sweden. See them manufacture the dala horses, the same way they have since 1928. Continue to Tällberg for our overnight stay. It is situated on the shore of Lake Siljan, in the northern part of Leksand. A special character of the village is that all houses and buildings are made of wood, such as timber or log. Dinner is included. (B, D)

Day 8 Stockholm, Sweden
We depart for Sundborn, the home of Carl Larsson, one of Sweden’s most beloved artists. Then we continue to Dalarna, which epitomizes all things Swedish. After an included lunch, we visit the old university town of Uppsala, the original Viking capital of Sweden. We will tour the inspiring Uppsala Cathedral which was built 750 years ago. Upon arrival to Stockholm, we will check-in to our accommodations for a two night stay. (B, L)

Day 9 Stockholm, Sweden
Today we’ll explore Stockholm on a city tour that includes City Hall which is adorned with almost 18 million pieces of golden mosaics. Our tour also includes the Vasa Ship Museum, a unique and well-preserved warship from 1628, embellished with hundreds of wooden sculptures. The remainder of the day is on your own to explore the city. Whether you choose to roam the narrow streets of Old Town (also known has Gamla Stan) or stay close to our hotel, you are sure to fine plenty of things to do! Dinner is included. (B, D)

Day 10 Växjö, Sweden
Today we drive through the Swedish countryside to the province of Småland in the Kingdom of Crystal. There will be a shopping opportunity at Kosta Boda, one of the world’s leading brands of glassware and art glass. Finally, we arrive in Växjö where we’ll spend the night. Tonight, enjoy a “hyttsill” dinner with traditional food and music. (B, D)

Day 11 Copenhagen, Denmark
Our travels take us to Helsingborg where we will ferry to Helsingør, Denmark and continue to Hillerød, home of the Frederiksborg Castle, which is known as the Versailles of Denmark. It’s built over three islands and houses priceless treasures that tell the story of 500 years of Danish history. We’ll drive through the Danish countryside as we make our way to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark! We’ll check-in to our hotel located along the Copenhagen Harbor. We stay here for the next two nights. (B)

Day 12 Copenhagen, Denmark
We begin our day with a sightseeing tour of Copenhagen which includes the famous statue, the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain, the palace of the Danish Royal Family, The National Library, and more. Then you’ll have time to browse the world’s longest shopping street, Strøget or visit the famous Tivoli Gardens. The rest of the day is on your own. Tonight, we’ll gather for a farewell dinner. (B, D)

Day 13 Home
We say farewell and return home after our scenic adventure through Scandinavia.
