Trip Itinerary
Day 1 Dickinson, ND
Today we begin our tour to the Pacific Northwest. Our first evening’s stay will be in Dickinson, North Dakota.
Day 2 Livingston, MT
This morning we’ll make our way west to Montana and visit the Little Bighorn Battlefield. Here on June 25 and 26 of 1876, 263 soldiers, including Lt. Col. George A. Custer died fighting several thousand Lakota and Cheyenne warriors. Afterwards, we’ll continue to our overnight destination in Livingston, Upon arrival to our hotel, we’ll enjoy a Pizza Party. (B, D)
Day 3 Twin Falls, ID
Today’s journey takes us into Idaho. Our first stop is the Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot. Continuing on to our final destination of the day, Twin Falls. We will spend some time at the Visitor Center before heading out to Shoshone Falls, a 212-foot waterfall that is taller than Niagara Falls. (B)
Day 4 Bend, OR
Following I-84 this morning we will visit the Oregon Train Interpretive Center in Glen Ferry. See the original wagon ruts and Conestoga replicas, learn about the pioneers, early settlers and Native American history. Lunch will be on your own in the capital city of Boise. From there we’ll travel into Oregon to our overnight accommodations in Bend for a two night stay. (B)
Day 5 Bend, OR
Today will be spent at Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake used to be a giant volcano named Mount Mazama, which erupted regularly for half a million years. It grew larger and taller as layers of lava cooled on top of each other. Then during one enormous eruption, it disappeared. What was created was Crater Lake. Scientists marvel at its purity because is fed by rain and snow. It’s the deepest lake in the U.S. and one of the most pristine on Earth. (B)
Day 6 Seattle, WA
Our travels take us into Washington to Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. We will spend sometime at the Visitor Center to learn about the eruption in 1980. Our day ends in Seattle, Washington. We will check-in to our hotel for a four night stay. (B)
Day 7 Seattle, WA
We’re off for another day of exploring at Mount Rainier National Park. This active volcano is the most glaciated peak in the U.S. and is the highest point in the Cascade Range. More than 25 glaciers descend the flanks of the closely monitored volcano. (B)
Day 8 Seattle, WA
Seattle has so much to offer! We will spending our day exploring Washington’s largest city. Our day begins at the Boeing Future of Flight Aviation Center & Factory. Featuring a 28,000-square-foot aviation and aerospace Gallery, a 9,000-square-foot rooftop-observation area and a Factory tour. Next, board a boat for a scenic cruise where we will experience the iconic Ballard Locks, a “boat elevator’”connecting the Puget Sound and Lake Washington Ship Canal. Take in breathtaking views of the city skyline and majestic mountain ranges and more. Dinner is included this evening. (B, D)
Day 9 Seattle, WA
A local guide joins us this morning for a City Tour of Seattle. We explore the many forces that have shaped the city from past to present. Our tour includes the downtown area, Pioneer Square and Stadium District, International District & Waterfront, Seattle Center, Queen Anne View Point and more! We end our tour at Pikes Place Market, Seattle’s original farmers market. You will have time for lunch and free time on your own here. This afternoon we visit one of the most photographed and recognized structures in the world, the Space Needle. Rising 605 ft. above the city, the tower’s 520’ saucer-shaped “top house” offers Seattle’s only 360-degree panoramic views of downtown, Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, and the Cascades and Olympic mountain ranges. Next, walk over to Chihuly Garden & Glass. Bringing together all the elements of artist Dale Chihuly’s work, the exhibit features indoor galleries, the Glasshouse, and an ever-changing Garden, along with live glass demonstrations and a Theater. Day 10 Victoria, BC
This morning we travel through the scenic Olympic Peninsula to Port Angeles. Here, we board a ferry that will take us across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Victoria, the capital of British Columbia located on Vancouver Island. On arrival, a local guide will join us to give us a short guided sightseeing tour of the city including the Inner Harbour, Government Street, Chinatown, and iconic landmarks like the Empress Hotel and the Parliament Building. (B)
Day 11 Vancouver, BC
This morning we visit the world famous Butchart Gardens. Take a beautiful and sweet-smelling stroll through 55 acres of stunningly flower beds, tranquil lily ponds and picturesque footbridges. Lunch is included here. Afterwards, we will travel to Schwartz Bay and board another ferry to the vibrant city of Vancouver. (B, L)
Day 12 Vancouver, BC
This morning we will tour Vancouver, seeing sights such as Stanley park Totem Poles, Granville Island, Chinatown, Canada Place and English Bay. Lunch is included this afternoon at a local favorite. The rest of the day is spent at the Capilano Suspension Bridge, where we’ll take a walk on the wilder side! Venture onto the swinging plants of the one and only 450 foot bridge. Get a squirrel’s eye view of the thriving coastal rainforest from towering platforms and seven suspension bridges on the Treetops Adventure. Take in thrilling views on the edge of nature as you explore Cliffwalk, a gravity-defying cantilevered walkway cling to the granite cliff high above the Capilano Canyon. (B, L)
Day 13 Spokane, WA
We cross back into the U.S. this morning and travel into North Cascades National Park. Experience the old growth forests, cascading waterfalls, and jagged peaks crowned by more than 300 glaciers. Our final destination of the day is Spokane, Washington for our last overnight stay. (B)
Day 14-Home
We board an airplane today for a flight home after exploring the Pacific Northwest.
