Trip Itinerary


Day 1 Rapid City, SD

Sit back and relax as we make our way to Rapid City, South Dakota for our overnight stay.

Day 2 Rock Springs, WY

We continue our travels today as we enter Wyoming, “the Equality State.” Take in the beautiful countryside as we make our way as far as Rock Springs. Tonight we’ll gather for a Pizza Party at our hotel. (B, D)

Day 3 Salt Lake City, UT

We make our way to beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah today. With the exception of the Dead Sea, the Great Salt Lake is the saltiest body of water on earth. On arrival, we tour of the capital city with a local guide. See the magnificent Salt Lake Mormon Temple, State Capital Building, Beehive & Lion Houses, Fort Douglas/Olympic Village, Pioneer Park, Mormon Pioneer trail, This Is The Place Monument, Trolley Square and The Old Union Pacific Train Depot and much more! Day 4 Las Vegas, NV

We head south on I-15 through Utah today. We’ll arrive in Las Vegas to the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, our home for the evening. You will have the rest of the day on your own here. Receive an included dinner voucher this evening for our hotel’s restaurant. (B, D)

Day 5 Los Angeles, CA

Today we will arrive in California. We’ll visit LA’s Original Farmers Market once we arrive in Los Angeles. Grab some lunch and explore one of LA’s most beloved landmarks. We will check-in to our hotel located in Torrance, about 30 minutes from downtown LA. Tonight, there is a special New Years Eve Dinner Party planned for you. Midnight in New York City is at 9 PM here so we’ll celebrate with them so we can get to bed early because tomorrow is PARADE DAY! (B, D)

Day 6 Los Angeles, CA

We are on our way to Pasadena bright and early this morning for the Tournament of Roses Parade, we have reserved seating. Experience majestic animated floats covered with blooming flowers, fantastic marching bands and so much more! Don’t worry about buying the souvenire program, we have done that for you! Afterwards, we’ll get a close-up view and see the details and workmanship that go into every float at float Fest. (B)

Day 7 Los Angeles, CA

Today we will see the sights of Los Angeles with a local guide while learning about this bustling city. Our tour includes downtown LA, Old Town, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and more! This evening we’ll make a short drive to Long Beach for a Gondola Christmas Lights Cruise. (B)

Day 8 Los Angeles, CA

Our morning begins with a tour of Warner Bros. Studio. We explore one of the busiest working studios in Los Angeles with an expert Tour Guide who will take us behind the scenes of the studio that has been entertaining the world for nearly 100 years. Lunch will be on your own today before we head out to the Simi Valley to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum. Tour the museum and visit the final resting place of our 40th president and first lady, Ronald and Nancy Reagan. (B)

Day 9 San Diego, CA

Departing Los Angeles today, we make our way down the coast to San Diego. Upon arrival, we’ll have lunch in Old Town before meeting a guide for a tour of this beautiful city. Sites include Cabrillo National Monument, Old Town, the San Diego Harbor, Balboa Park, Downtown, Horton Plaza & the Gas Lamp Quarter, Mission Bay, Coronado and LaJolla. Later, we check-in to our hotel located within walking distance to Seaport Village which offers many shops and eateries with amazing views of the bay. The rest of the evening is on your own. (B)

Day 10 Flagstaff, AZ

We head out of California into Arizona today. Our home for the next two nights is in Flagstaff, AZ. (B)

Day 11 Flagstaff, AZ

Our day will be spent aboard the Grand Canyon Railway. We’ll travel 65 miles almost due north into Grand Canyon National Park to the South Rim. Once we arrive, we’ll board a bus and tour the rim a bit more. Our bus will drop us off at the Maswik Lodge and we’ll have an included lunch buffet before boarding the train and heading back to the depot. (B, L)

Day 12 Santa Fe, NM

We’ll cross into New Mexico today and make our way to Albuquerque and visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to learn about the Pueblo culture from ancient times to the present. We continue to Santa Fe and visit the Loretto Chapel (if available) which is known for it’s unusual helix-shaped “miraculous” spiral staircase. We’ll check-in to our hotel, located near the city’s historic plaza. (B)

Day 13 Colorado Springs, CO

This morning we will make our way up I-25 and cross into Colorado and arrive in Colorado Springs at an elevation of 6,035 ft. Here we will tour of Garden of the Gods. Imagine 300 foot towering sandstone rock formations against the snow-capped Pikes Peak and brilliant blue skies! (B)

Day 14 Kearney, NE

Making our way north up to Denver then east into Nebraska. We’ll make a stop in North Platte to take in the view of the world’s largest train yard at the Golden Spike Railroad Tower. Lunch is included here. We’ll continue to Kearney, Nebraska. On arrival, a stop will be made at the Great Platter River Road Archway. From Oregon Trail era to today, the Archway’s historical exhibit brings the story of the Great Platte River Road to life. (B, L)

Day 15 Home

The last leg of our adventure is today as we travel back home to our original pick-up points. We hope you had a great New Years with us! (B)
